Phil
Braden, Group Projects Director, Gateway Communications.

The
man behind our pan African network efficiency project (and every
other project within Gateway, from the tiny to the multi-million
dollar) is Phil Braden. Having joined us four months ago as Group
Projects Director, Phil is already working on major pan-African
network upgrades, customer deployments, major bids and internal
process improvements.
Splitting his time between London, Lagos and Johannesburg and a
fairly extensive travel schedule across the continent to see customers,
Phil has been able to realise one of his reasons for joining Gateway,
in that "All of the action is in Africa".
One of the early pioneers of digital satellite broadcasting and
on-orbit servicing, Phil was voted one of the 50 most influential
persons in European Media in 2008 by Cable & Satellite Magazine.
He has designed, built and operated some of the world's largest
broadcasting, production and postproduction operations centres.
He has served as a senior corporate officer in the United States,
Asia, Africa and Europe and has founded three successful entrepreneurial
ventures in cable & satellite broadcasting, satellite life extension
services and internet security.
Phil already knew Gateway Communications, having previously worked
with Gateway Broadcast Services, bringing a wealth of experience to the company. We're
excited to have him on board, and are looking forward to further
developments as he brings his expertise and rigour to everything
Gateway is doing.
