Welcome!
Looking
back at the last quarter and the many successes we have achieved
to date, I still can't help but focus excitedly on what the future
holds for Gateway Communications in the rest of 2008.
After all,
in what looks to be a global downturn on every other continent,
Africa has become the shining star for investors who are looking
for return on their outlay. Great news for us, an organization that
has built its success on connecting the continent. After all, telecommunications
is universally recognized as a key facilitator of economic growth.

Part of our
focus has been keeping a keen eye on customer needs, especially
as the demand for high speed data starts to outstrip
voice on the continent. This is why we have developed
solutions such as IPJetDirect as well as
Airlink and Metrolink. We are confident that
these product offerings will provide our customers with secure and
reliable communications and the means to continue to expand their
businesses now and into the future.
This past quarter
has also seen us look at our own business, not only updating our
online presence, but also scouting out homegrown
talent and adapting our organization to better fit the changing
market requirements.
I hope that
you enjoy this latest issue of Talking Drums and the snapshot it
provides of our company and the diverse and fascinating market in
which it operates.
